Mk1 Vtec conversion part 1

This started as the ultimate project, issues started cropping out with the mini with oil leaks in the engine, then the clutch giving out and with the last straw high pressure with the a/c. And the crazy solution to the problem was finally to change the minis A+ 1275 engine to a B series from a JDM Honda civic. First problem was talking to the builder of the build since I had no time to do this diy. This build started in the middle of the covid 19 epidemic and since I am a front liner in my country I was allowed to travel and cross borders. The local builder in Manila for such conversions is Mr Ronald Araga. Our first meeting went smoothly, he showed me his then D15b converted mini and let me ride it. AC was weak that time because of probably the placement of the compressor near the headers. The car had power steering and the breaks as well as the clutch was all converted to honda. We talked about which engine to choose and I told him I had plans of placing a B series engine. It was going to be his first FWD B series conversion. Our second meeting took place in the shop. In the shop I saw a B18c RWD converted mini as well as a K series in the middle of conversion. Mr Araga let me drive the recently converted D series mini he just finished and it had ample power for daily driving. Still I was decided on a B series for my build. So before starting I had to source it from a friend.
